[The feed flickers on with a short length of static, and then you can hear Jackie clearing her throat to talk. When she does, she sounds somewhat apologetic.]

Hey guys, I'm sorry for not contacting anyone sooner. I've had a hard time getting back, but Seifer came to find me. I, ah, should be back soon...hopefully...

"We'll figure it out... just gotta get past these things."

[Her response is slightly muffled as she's facing Seifer, and not the communicator.]

Yeah, it looks like most of them are behind us now, we can probably make it from here on without them seeing us.

"Yeah, let's just... move faster, alright?"

[The sounds of footsteps taking off at a pretty quick speed can be heard]

I think we finally lost them...Seifer, do you see-[Her question is cut off by a piercing shriek, and the sound of the communicator being dropped onto the floor. After a moment, the sounds of scuffling echo through the device.]

“This way, Move it!”

[The sounds of footsteps continue until another scream brings the steps to a sudden stop. Then there’s the sound of a large body hitting another, and a wet tearing noise. After a few more seconds of this, another thumping sound is heard, and Jackie yells,]

I don’t think so!

[This is followed by several thunking and squealing sounds, and then finally…]

SEIFER, COME ON!

She's vaguely aware that her hand is sliding through Seifer's because it's wet with blood, but she just tightens her grip and keeps runnning. Her adrenalin is pumping too much for her to really feel where she was hurt anyway.]

We need to find cover somewhere, any ideas?

Mm, if you two can't find one, a secluded alley works as well. The skeleton monsters don't seem to have very good senses. But make sure the street is free of monsters first~
