Mar. 3rd, 2011 02:52 amOkay what the hell is going on NOW? [Jackie appears on the screen sporting a bright red mark on one side of her face looking annoyed and incredibly anxious. She rubs at her cheek gently, eyes flickering off to the sides.]
What are those things and why do they keep running into me?! Can someone please tell me what's going on and that I'm not the only one seeing them?
This is getting really old, really fas-[Her eyes widen and she moves, in her panic dropping the communicator so that the video feed faces the floor. There's a loud scream, then the feed is silent for a while before eventually shutting off.]
[Roomies feel free to find Jackie curled up on the floor.]

Jan. 24th, 2011 02:58 pm[The feed comes on to show an extremely tired looking Jackie. There are bags under her eyes, and she looks like she's struggling to stay awake. Someone didn't experience any bad dreams because she was awake all night looking for Kirika.]
This is probably pointless to ask, but none of the missing people have returned have they?

Nov. 7th, 2010 06:03 pm[A jellyfish jiggles onto the screen, staring suspiciously at a small cat. They seem to be having some sort of staring contest. Tentatively the cat bats a paw at one of the tentacles, and the jellyfish bristles, or does something like it.
The cat hisses in return. This goes on for a few moments before Jackie comes onto the scene.]
Soul! What are you doing, you're going to get yourself hurt. [With an exasperated sigh, she picks the small white cat up in her arms, and turns toward the jellyfish which is slowly coming toward her. Her eyes narrow and she shifts Soul kitty to one arm, transforming the other into what appears to be a lantern and pointing it threateningly toward the jellyfish which scuttles away from the flames.]
Bad jellyfish. No messing with the cat. [The cat licks a paw smugly as Jackie turns back. Satisfied that Soul kitty is out of harm's way, she reaches for the communicator she hadn't realized was on the ground, effectively cutting the feed.]

Jun. 20th, 2010 09:59 pm[The video flips on, jostled by Jackie's elbow and shows the kitchen of the apartment. She's staring into a bowl with a mixing spoon in it and frowning.]
Are you sure we don't need any more flour? It's looks pretty watery...[Kid leans over and examines it before giving a slight nod, reaching for the flour.]
Just a bit more. Too much and we might as well call them cookies. Just mix all the lumps out, evenly.[He starts sprinkling a bit more into the bowl. She mixes as he sprinkles more into the bowl and gives a satisfied nod as the consistency thickens.]
Okay, I think it's ready. Do you want me to start pouring it?[He gives it that analyzing eye before checking the stove once more. And then a nod.]
Yes. Aim for the center, alright? Not too much, or they won't come out nice and round.[And by 'nice and round', he means 'perfect and symmetrical'. She doesn't roll her eyes only because she was expecting it.]

I know the room is pretty tight, but she'll be staying with us, right guys? [Her words are casual but she sounds oddly affectionate.]
[Her voice sounds farther, as she's turned her head away again to answer the silence.] Of course, don't be stupid. [Despite the insult there's a warmth to her voice that's almost foreign to her in Discedo.]
I'm going to try and get her caught up with everything going on here.
[Again Jackie's voice gets further away.] It can be, but you don't have to worry. I'll always protect you, you know that. Just-[The sound ends with a click.]

[So, after everyone froze, and Jackie went around lighting fires everywhere, she got pretty sick from exhausting herself. She has been in her apartment, doing nothing but being really bored and sick since then, and thus is pretty desperate to get out and do something.]

Hey guys. How is everyone doing? Alright? I think the worst of it is over now, but if anyone still needs fire, just let me know and I'll get there as quickly as I can. Soul, Maka? You guys okay?
Are you talking to them right now? [Liz asks somewhere out of the view of the camera. Her footsteps can be heard as she comes closer.] Huh? [She stops, sticking her head in the camera's view, blinking at it.]
Are you video recording this?
[Jackie turns to Liz, nodding in answer.] Yeah, it's a video message. I'm hoping to hear from them... [She turns back to the camera. this time scooting back so that Liz can be seen as well.]
Zuko, you too, how are you doing? Oz? Zoe? Seifer? I want to hear from everyone...just let me know you're doing alright, okay? [She turns to Liz, silently asking if she has anything or anyone to add.]
[Liz pulls her head back off view, but decides to stick around as the camera rolls on.]
Oh, so that's what it is... Yeah, me too.
[She gives a small wave while Jackie speaks, and then just lets her do her thing.]
... [Her lips pucker. That was so stiff, Jackie.] Hey, why don't we try to go see how they're doing too? Though... [She reaches back to scratch her head.]
You've been kind of busy lately. Do you even feel up to it?
[She looks away from the feed, and blinks at Liz, before smiling sheepishly.]
I'd like that. It'd be nice to see how some of them are doing...[she waves off Liz's concern.] I'm alright, I promise. Admittedly, I'm pretty tired, but I'll feel better soon, I'm sure.
[Liz grins.] Then let's keep the list short! I'm not really a big fan of the cold anyway.[She then leans forward, cupping a hand over Jackie's ear. Whisper, whisper.] Is there anyone you'd like to see the most?
[Jackie nods, and takes a moment to think before whispering back, out of sight of the camera.] Yeah, there is. I'll ask him if he doesn't mind a visit after the video is over. [She turns back to the camera and waves.]
I hope to hear from everyone soon! [And she clicks the feed off.].

Like I said before, it has the text, voice, and video functions, and this is the video. Here, come here for a second and I'll show you how it works.

[Seifer pops into view, standing right next to her as he leans in to look at the device. He blinks, then nods.]

[He takes a moment, then just cups her cheek with a hand and plants a gentle kiss on her lips. After a moment, he pulls back. He just kind of stares at her for a second, his face glowing, before looking at the ground and muttering.]
[ She nearly jumps back when he pulled away, and her eyes found the ground shortly after. ]
[He's trying to find anything but her to look at... and sees the communicator. And that little light saying 'hey, you're on candid camera!']
Uh... Chika... your device thing...
[She stares uncomprehendingly at him for a moment, and then follows his train of sight to the communicator blinking innocently on the ground. Blinking. Because it's turned on. She jumps toward it and quickly ends the transmission, some muttered curses heard just before it shuts off.]
