003 [Accidental Video Post]
Jul. 13th, 2009 09:07 pmThe screen flickers on to reveal nothing but the faint outline of a shadow standing near what seems to be a building, though which building it is, is entirely indistinguishable due to the overwhelming darkness. The camera seems to be swaying in Jackie's hand, making it obvious that she is unaware that it has been turned on. She stands with her back pressed against the building, her eyes staring out into the darkness with a slightly glazed over look. The camera tilts in her hand when her fingers clench into a fist, and she tries to sink further into the wall at her back.
A nearly silent whining noise escapes her, and she looks startled that the sound escaped, shaking her head back and forth as though denying it. With a deep sigh, she shakes her head once again, this time uttering a few quiet words to herself.
Get a hold of yourself Jacqueline, it's just the dark. There's nothing to be afraid of. You've been through this before, and there isn't any good reason to be afraid...
She repeats the words and variations of the mantra over to herself, and eventually the blackness of the sky and surroundings become the blackness of an empty screen as the video shuts off with an audible 'click'.
[ooc: this takes place after Jackie has left Latimir, and is presumably (?) staying with, er, the other Jackie, and Nill in Horton. She has a not-so-secret-anymore fear of the dark due to the fact that she IS a lantern.]
